Pak Pioneers Community Organization of Canada (PPCOC)

(PPCOC) is a not for profit registered organization, formed by members of the South Asian Community of Ontario, Canada (GTA).

PPCOC is dedicated to offer assistance and cooperation to those in need in the community, whether they are individuals or organizations without the differentiation of ethnicity, age or gender. The primary focus of PPCOC is to offer services for senior citizens. One of the well established reality and a common known fact experienced by our South Asian Seniors, is their loneliness in this society and they definitely need frequent interaction from among people of their own culture and language.

I have been coming to the Pak Pioneers Seniors Club for over 5 years and Tehmina , Naveed , Dr. Masoom Shah and the rest of the board members are doing a wonderful job in keeping the club running. I literally look forward to every Tuesday to attend the meeting. It gives me the opportunity of meeting my friends and listening to lectures on various topics such as taking care of the heart , eyes, liver , being aware of elder abuse , tax tips to name a few. The club also organizes outside trips like picnics etc . I have made new friends thanks to the club. Since I retired in 2016, the club has given me the opportunity to stay active mentally and physically and I look forward to the club every Tuesday.

The activities that you all plan for the elderlies like board games, Ludo games, cards along with hot tea etc: is an amazing effort by yourself and your team to engage our community and seniors in such healthy activities. We need more events and activities and much more people like you who keep Pakistani values at heart and knit all the expats back to Pakistan. All your projects are commendable for the seniors.
