PPCOC is fostering an inclusive community where youth thrive in a diverse and welcoming environment, and seniors avoid isolation by staying actively connected, supported, and respected. We celebrate the richness of diverse cultures, creating a space where traditions are shared, honored, and woven into every aspect of our programs.
“PPCOC provided a purposeful, healthy retired-life for the seniors, with a feeling of cultural and social belonging.”
“It is a feeling of great satisfaction to see both seniors and youth thriving, and connecting with people of similar ethnic backgrounds.”
“I've seen firsthand how PPCOC is preventing isolation for the better mental and physical health of the community members.”
The Pak Pioneers Community Organization of Canada (PPCOC) is committed to supporting community members, inclusive of all, by providing them with a platform for networking, many opportunities to learn, and raising awareness about resources for their mental and physical well-being.
Our focus is serving the South Asian community, especially seniors, many of whom experience loneliness and isolation in Canadian society. To address this, we established the Senior Pioneers Club, providing a culturally familiar space for weekly interactions, learning, and connection. With the support of the City of Mississauga, which generously granted us a free space for our older adult group meetings.

By fostering regular volunteerism, we help women’s empowerment, promote inclusivity, and improve mental and physical well-being. We also provide awareness sessions on new technology, social media, internet resources, and available government programs, including senior benefits. Our long-term goal is to create a dedicated South Asian seniors’ home, supported by the community, while encouraging volunteerism across all age groups. This initiative benefits not only South Asian seniors but the broader Canadian community through active engagement, education, and cultural exchange.
PPCOC operates entirely through volunteer leadership, with all funds provided through government grants and donations made by community members, managed transparently by an accountant.
These values reflect our commitment to community support, inclusion, and cultural understanding ensuring seniors live with dignity, connection, and care.
We encourage volunteerism at any age at all of our events
Building meaningful relationships and fostering a sense of belonging.
Respecting all ages, genders, cultural differences, and each other's personal views.
Keeping an open mind towards all views and beliefs.
